City-Bay Fun Run 2017

Over 80 amazing humans represented Muddy Puddles Foundation by running, walking, dancing, tripping and skipping the 2017 Sunday Mail City to Bay Fun Run. Seeing Muddy Puddles children and siblings push their limits brought a tear to all of our eyes. It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for pounding the pavement for 12, 6 or 3 kilometres.

After the race, we all came to hang together and were spoiled with food, drinks and chats at our village site which was managed by our selfless and highly effective volunteers Tom, Peter, Nathan, John, Simon and Nadia.

Thank you to the crew who made our recovery a little bit easier at the After Party. Cerbis Ceramics SA who so generously donated $450 so we could feed the masses. Nippy’s for supplying us with a load of free drinks. Brighton City Meats for an awesome discount on that tasty bacon, those fresh eggs and the very popular sausages. Bake Bakery Seacliff Park for a very generous discount on all that bread and those AMAZING chocolate donuts, there were many chocolatey smiles on little Muddy Puddles faces. We couldn’t do this without the generosity of folks like you.

We would also like to thank; The Printing Edge for printing our racing tops and to Janet for delivering them. Adelaide Triathlon Club for bringing their crew along and adding a bit of professionalism to our team. Michelle and family for their 22 team members of Run for Kobe. Plus every team member and to everyone who donated.

Thank you all so very much for believing in our mission, giving to our cause and sitting with us in the sunshine while acknowledging that the sun doesn’t always shine in our puddles. Somewhere around $13,000 has been raised by over 200 generous supporters to improve the lives of South Australian bowel and bladder children and their families. We are simply overwhelmed and our hearts are full.
