Muddy Puddles Christmas Party 2017

On Sunday 19th of November we were lucky enough to be able to hold our first ever Muddy Puddles Christmas Party for our bowel and bladder children and their loving families. Each MP child was able to bring along a family or friend special to them to enjoy the day too.
The amazing volunteers at Morphett Vale Railway Incorporated were so generous to have us for the day. They ran the trains just for us at NO cost! We thank them all for bending over backwards to ensure the children, and adults, had a blast on those awesome miniature trains.

It was a beautiful sunny day and it appeared that all the families had a wonderful day relaxing, riding trains, playing games, eating, drinking and being very merry, particularly when jolly old summery Santa arrived with his elf friends on one of the trains.
Some people had their faces painted or hair styled and glittered, some put on funny wigs, hats or glasses to take silly photos in, some chilled out in the shade of the trees. We all celebrated together as one big Muddy Puddles Foundation Family.

The day was only possible thanks to so many kind people and we want to acknowledge them all….
Kim Harrop and Kelly Bonaguro for wrapping so many presents.
Games2U Adelaide for all that fun with the Hamster Ball and Laser Tag.
Chloe and Chris Djs for so generously donating a photo booth, and photos with the Muddy Puddles logo, for the day and the lovely Ellie to run it – she was so much fun.
Nadia Pluck, Simon Pluck, Kerry Fletcher, Kim Harrop, Tom Fletcher, Ryan Favell, Susie Toon for set up, take down and all those little jobs in between that actually helped the day to be the success it was.
Linley Walasek for once again working your face painting magic on all those children and doing it simply for the joy of it.
Natalie Mackenzie for kindly giving up your time to do some cool hairstyles.
Holly Sparrow for a gorgeous and fresh fruit platter which was enjoyed by every child at the party.
Lesley Munro and Keren Collins for more amazing sweets than we could have dreamed of and for baking for every dietary requirement we could have thrown at you. The gingerbread houses were simply magical.
Anna Dal Pra for another amazingly gorgeous batch of your cupcakes. This time with a Christmas theme. Wow.
Trudi Duffield and Audra Barbour for the photos.
Heather Snowden and Malcolm of Dynaref Products for a very generous donation of $300 towards the day.
Kathryn Phillips for a generous donation in lieu of her grandchildren’s Christmas presents.
Audra Barbour and Nathan for organising Leo’s Yiros for lunch and to Leo, Mary and family for cooking and delivering.
Geoff Kirtland for being the COOLEST, FUNNIEST and MOST THOUGHTFUL Santa ever. He really brought so much magic on the Santa Express train with him and the way he sat and listened to the children was simply priceless. And to his two elves including the wonderful Jessica Hill who saved the day with her eye for present giving.
Last but not least to all of the amazing families for coming along on the day and reminding us all of why our work is so important. We have had messages sent to us from people who observed the power of our connections… This is why we do what we do.
Thank you!! The Muddy Puddles Foundation Committee
