City-Bay Fun Run 2018

The sun came out to shine on us on Sunday 16th September 2018 as 49 people, and 2 dogs, donned their Muddy Puddles gear and got out there to run/walk 3km, 6km and 12km in our name at the Westpac City-Bay Fun Run Presented by Sunday Mail. Just as the sun was shining on us for the previous few weeks while many of those 49 participants shared their goal and raised money for, and awareness of, the foundation.

Light rain sprinkled over us as the kind folks at Bella Build & Design, Broadfeather Design, Sabcal Tiles by Tilers, Clairville Homes, Anthony Haywood and Michelle Attard Design all donated money to fund our post race breakfast. Thank you! Also for the kindness of Brighton City Meats for heavily discounted bacon and sausages, Michelle Attard for all the fresh eggs and Nippy’s for the water. We would also like to thank The Printing Edge for printing our racing tops and Irene Vrakking for surprising us with some amazingly special Muddy Puddles gingerbread cookies.

There was a golden halo around our amazing volunteers… Nathan, Trev, Tony, Susie and Jessica who all worked super hard to ensure every one of our team members was well fed and hydrated. What a wonderful morning of awesome company, delicious food and a shared belief in our mission to connect, and keep connected, SA children with chronic bowel and bladder complexities.

The final count!… With all costs subtracted and other funds raised outside of Everyday Hero added, our supporters managed to help us raise a massive grand total of $12 375.05!!! We are so grateful to everyone who made this possible through their participation, donations and support. This kind of money will help us to get on a camp in 2019 that is tailored to the medical and psychological needs of all of the children and families we support.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. From the bottom of our Muddy Puddles.
